Residential Roofing FAQs

Do You Use Subcontractors On Residential Roofing Projects?

Sure, it’s much more common with shingling than other types of remodeling work that include trades. We’ve been working with our current shingling crews for nearly a decade, and every installation is checked, double-checked, and triple-checked by Roof Worx. Our quality control process is thorough! For specialty projects like roof repairs or metal roofing, we have our in-house crews and wrapped vehicles that are easy to spot.

Are You A Local Family-Run Company

You bet! We’re your family-run, family-operated roofing and GC company with offices in Colorado Springs, Thornton, Loveland, Fort Collins, and Cheyenne. Roof Worx has been in business for 20+ years, and our current locations enable us to cover the entire Colorado Front Range area.

How Many Dedicated Crews Do You Have?

Great question! The number of crews we’re currently running depends on the time of year. For shingle crews, we run six crews at the peak of the season. For low-slope roofing, we run two crews; for metal roofing, we run two in-house crews. It changes over time with the demands of our local Colorado Front Range area.

Will I Have A Project Manager To Turn To?

Absolutely. We assign Project Managers by specialty and geography, so all our customers are well cared for. They’re prompt, professional, and courteous.

How Did You Become A GAF Master Elite Roofer?

The Master Elite title isn’t a widely-used rubber stamp. You must be committed to serious quality, customer service, and ongoing training to earn the distinction. Every Roof Worx employee attends annual training on how to properly install GAF systems, which GAF experts then inspect. Only about 1% of Colorado roofers make the grade. This also means we can upgrade warranties that provide up to 30 years of workmanship and 50 years of material coverage.

What Type/Length Of Warranty Coverage Will I Get?

Roof Worx can provide material and workmanship warranties for complete coverage for up to 30 years that major manufacturers back. While we aren’t planning on going anywhere, being backed by a solid manufacturer that’s been in business for 100+ years is a great assurance you’ll be covered. These warranty upgrades aren’t just paper changes but require roofing system upgrades to provide a better installation.

Do You Do Roof Repairs?

Yes indeed. We have our own seasoned in-house repair team and company-wrapped vehicles for these specialty roofing projects. They’re backed by a manager with 35+ years in the roofing business. Roof Worx is skilled at residential, HOA/multifamily, and commercial repairs.

What Should I Look For In A Roofer?

This is among our favorite questions. Look for a local, certified roofing company that knows what they’re doing, takes care of their customers, who will be around, and has proper insurance and a building license. Roof Worx has premium certifications and mountains of additional training so that we can offer extended warranties. Our certifications include the GAF Master Elite distinction, GAF Master for low-slope, Mulehide single-ply, Versico single-ply, Firestone Metal Roofing, and Durolast PVC single-ply membrane.

Any Discount On My Insurance For Class 4 Shingles?

Most insurance companies offer discounts up to 30% for Class 4 hail-impact-resistant shingles. Check with your agent about the discount you’ll get and any exclusions. With Class 4 discounts, some insurance companies have cosmetic exclusions, making storm damage claims much more difficult.
