Commercial Roofing FAQs
Like many other answers to commercial roofing questions in the Front Range, the answer is…it depends. First and foremost on A) whether you have a single unified roof on your building(s), and B) what shape it’s in. Certain circumstances, however, warrant a total replacement. Like, if the damage is too extensive or upon inspection, we find too many instances where your previous roofer made mistakes, cut corners, etc. Regardless, you’ll be 100% informed and know exactly what needs to happen, and why.
We’ll see to it there’s not a single doubt left in your mind, if it comes to that. With decades of experience in both residential and commercial roofing (along with construction and exterior remodeling), we know how to professionally inspect a roof to leave no stone unturned. Afterward, you’ll be shown everything in detail, line by line, with optional assets like photographs or even drone footage to support the findings. Nothing is left out, or left to chance.
ASAP! If the damage to your roof is extensive or there are any safety issues, don’t wait. And don’t put off what seems to be “minor repairs” or something that requires “minimal maintenance.” The sooner Roof Worx specialists can inspect the roof, the better. Simply call and we’ll schedule a friendly, convenient inspection at your earliest convenience.
Like most other long-standing local businesses that focus on quality, Roof Worx isn’t likely to be your cheapest option. We probably won’t be your most expensive bid either. While each commercial project is unique and comes with its own set of surprises and circumstances, our prices typically land in the middle somewhere between the two extremes. Factors include:
- Roof Size/Complexity
- Roof Condition
- Roof Access
- Type Of Insulation
- Type Of Membrane
- Installation Complexity
- Roof Penetrations
- Warranty Choice
The lifespan of your new roofing system will depend on a variety of things, for example, how well it’s maintained and the overall weather conditions we experience over the first couple of decades. It also has a lot to do with your installer’s skill and attention to detail, which is why you want to work with an established roofer like Roof Worx. Generally speaking, these are the average lifespans of common roofing materials:
- Spray Polyurethane Foam: 30 – 50 Years
- Single-Ply Membrane TPO: 15 – 20 Years
- Single-Ply Membrane EPDM: 20 – 25 Years
- Metal: 30 – 45 Years
- Built-Up: 10 – 15 Years
Truth be told, it’s impossible to give you some sort of blanket statement here. The length of your project will be determined by a host of factors: type/size of the roof, the extent of existing damage, the weather during installation/repairs, and let’s not forget about any needed inspections and permitting, etc. The good news is that with Roof Worx, you’re fully in the loop from “Howdy” to “You’re good to go!” and beyond.
Roof Worx has vast experience in this industry, and we know just about every kind of roofing system there is like the insides of our weathered hands – shingles, metal, tile, shake, coatings, slate, flat/low, composites…you name it! Whether you choose to move forward with us or not, we’ll ensure you know EXACTLY what material(s) are best and why.
