Choosing A Roofing Company?
Trust Your Spidey Sense

If You Suspect A “Catch,”
There Likely Is One

So, you started the search for a roofer. Maybe your roof lost a battle with a giant storm, or maybe your roof is past its prime and ready to be repaired. Whatever the case may be, choosing a roofer is all too often an overwhelming experience.

But it doesn’t have to be.

We’re here to tell you that choosing a roofer in the Colorado Front Range is far easier than you might imagine. It’s simple – choose the one that has it together, checks all the boxes, and truly feels right.

First, Do Your Homework

First things first, you have to do your homework on every company you consider.

Sure, we want you to trust your spidey sense at the end of the day, but that’s not to say good, old-fashioned research isn’t important. It’s THE most important thing you should do when you need a roofer.

Specifically, you should:

  • Check their reviews
  • Look at their website
  • Check their BBB rating
  • Ask the company for references
  • Look at their awards and associations
  • Determine which manufacturers they use

If they use subpar products and manufacturers, have poor reviews, and/or won’t provide references, move on to the next company. Once you find a company that checks every single box, get them out for a free roof inspection.

A Roofer’s First Impression Matters

First impressions aren’t just important in the dating world, they matter when you choose a roofing company, too.

You may know right away if a roofer is the right choice.

And you should ask yourself the following questions to screen them:

  • Are they genuinely friendly?
  • Are they trying too hard to push you toward a sale?
  • How detailed are their answers when you ask tough questions?
  • Do they seem to care about fixing your roof the way it should be fixed?

If something seems awry and not quite right, continue your search. More times than not, your “spidey sense” is right.

Avoid The Sales Games And Gimmicks

“Sales teams” are good. They’re trained to convince you to buy without making it entirely obvious they’re convincing you to buy.

What does this look like in action? Well, there are several popular methods a roofer may use to drive a sale, such as:

  • “Today Only” Prices – If they offer a price that is “only for today,” your spidey sense should scream NO. They’re playing games. There’s no difference between today, tomorrow, or the next day.
  • Floating Out High Prices – Watch out for the pitch, “A roof like yours typically costs this, but we’ll do the job for this.” If they float high prices, it’s as sure as shooting a sales game.
  • Manger-Approved Discounts – “Great news, my manager approved your discount.” This is salesmanship 101. And it’s not a discount. It’s the price they should’ve offered all along. Even then, it may still be too high.

At Roof Worx, we don’t play these games. We tell you what you need to know and trust you to make the best decision possible. If that means choosing another company, we’ll gracefully accept “no” for an answer. And we never overstay our welcome.

When You Find “The One” – Say YES

So, when should you choose a roofing company? When do you quit saying “no” and give your “yes” to a roofing pro?

Well, when it’s obvious that they’re the right choice. You should choose them when they’ve met all the qualifications (good reviews, proper certifications, etc.) AND pass your spidey sense.

And if you’re not 100% confident, continue your search.

We feel comfortable giving this advice because we feel strongly that you’ll love us. We work hard on our reputation, and we’ll work hard every single day to deliver you a beautiful roof that lasts for many decades.
